A Call to Action: White Paper from the World Summit on Learning Disabilities: On April 13-16, 2008, people from all over the world gathered in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada for the first World Summit on Learning Disabilities. A Government White Paper was one of the outcomes of the World Summit. The White Paper provides a high level overview of key policy issues associated with learning disabilities. It also contains basic information about learning disabilities which may be of interest to policy makers, advocates, and professionals. The White Paper has been formally tabled in Canada’s Senate and the Alberta legislature; it was written by Kathryn Burke, founder of LDExperience. Click here to access the document.
